If one-half of a convex lens is covered with black paper, blocking light from passing through that half, what happens to the image formed by the remaining half?

Since every point of the object sends rays to the entire lens surface, covering half the lens still allows the uncovered half to form a complete image of the object, just dimmer since less light passes through.
